Guns in the US: ORAL intro

Guns in the U.S: PLACES AND FORMS OF POWER (Idea of progress, myths and heroes)

Power is defined by an influence or potential of control of one individual or group of people over another.

Power is not shared equally between people, depending on their circumstances, some become powerful through different means, from becoming famous to owning a gun for example, and many people are victims to unjust abuse or use of power or unjust sharing of power.

In this context, the present situation of gun crime in the U.S comes to mind.

Problem issue: We can ask ourselves how the act of owning a gun can impact our lives and the lives of those around us, and to what degree this reality is shaping the America of today.
